ABOUT ME- HALL OF FAME JOCKEY, PHYSICIAN, PHOTOGRAPHER AND ARTIST

I am a retired physician/urologist from the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. I came to this country after a successful career as a professional jockey in Panama. I rode for five years between the ages of 14-19, and was the leading jockey for three of the five years, having won in excess of 500 races. As a result of these accomplishments unbeknownst to me, I was inducted into the HALL OF FAME FOR JOCKEYS IN PANAMA in April, 2009 (see Hall of Fame plaque below)

Upon coming to the United States, I decided to study medicine, and graduated with Bacheloof Arts Degree from New York University with a Phi Beta Kappa honors as well. I next went to Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, where there was an innovative and revolutionary curriculum, which has now been adopted by most medical schools in the country. I subsequently had internships at Philadelphia General Hospital, Surgery residency at the Crile VA Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. This was followed by a residency in Urology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I built my medical practice there and in time became Clinical Professor of Urology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. I have been Director of Urology at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and Albert Einstein Hospital, as well as President of the New York Section on Urology and President of the Urology Section at the New York Academy of Medicine.

I have always liked photography and upon my retirement from medicine in 2003 I have devoted my energies to this endeavor as well as started sketching and painting. I am a published photographer with exhibitions throughout Westchester County. I have exhibited at the Westchester Art Council and have had solo exhibitions at Newcity and New Rochelle libraries. I presently belong to the Color Camera Club in Valhalla, New York, where I have won numerous awards for traditional and computer generated images combined with photography. In addition I have now undertaken sketching and oil painting. Hopefully, these endeavors will compliment my photography
